Do taking omega 3 supplements increase your daily calory intake?!

Question: Some omega 3 fish oil supplements have a little as 10 calories and just 1 gram of fat. This is a very tiny trivial amount compared to the great health benefits that it can provide to your body. Some other things to keep in mind about omega 3 fish oil is that it has zero cholesterol, no yeast, no lactose, no sugar, no gluten, no polyunsaturated fat, no monounsaturated fat, etc. The only additive that really needs to be in there is a small amount of Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) to act as a natural preservative keep it fresh. Be sure to read the label before you buy.

Keep in mind that there is a big difference between fish oil and flaxseed oil, as sources for omega 3. Flax can have an estrogenic activity similar to soy so if you are pregnant or may become pregnant you will want to talk to your doctor about avoiding the flax oil and taking the fish oil instead. I prefer the fish oil anyway as I just always feel great when I'm taking it. Hope that helps with your questions about omega 3.

the bottle my mom has has 30 calories per pill.

Youll have to read the bottle. Mine have like 20 calories each I think.

Omega-3 supplements do have calories.
Think of the many benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3s stimulate blood circulation which improves heart health and lowers blood pressure. Also, Omega-3s can reduce and prevent varicose veins and keep your skin looking dewy and healthy!
If you are overly concerned about 20 or 30 calories I would suggest that you cultivate a more loving and open relationship with food. Wishing you health and happiness!
