How is GHB administered?!

Question: I'm doing a project, and I need to know how GHB is administered. To be honest, I don't exactly know what administered means, lol. Thanks for the help.

Administered just means how it is taken. It can be taken in a drink, as I recall.

"Its highly concentrated street form is available as a liquid in small plastic bottles"

This means it is administered by mouth, or "orally". However it wouldn't surprise me if some nutzoid has put it into an injection and injected it before, although I've not heard of it done before. Anyway, that would be called an "intravenous" or "intramuscular" administration.

Some more info about GHB:

Gammahydroxybutrate (GHB) is a dangerous drug with sedative and anaesthetic effects. It's hard to tell the difference between a dose that gives a pleasant buzz and one that leads to an overdose that could kill you.

Street names for drugs can vary around the country. GHB, GBH, Liquid Ecstasy.

- Too much and users feel disoriented and sick. Muscles can go numb or start to spasm (which can cause slight twitches or pulses).
- Its use can be fatal when mixed with alcohol or other drugs.
- Because GHB can really knock you out it's been linked to drug assisted sexual assault. And because it's almost tasteless it's easily slipped into a drink.
