I have colonics on a monthly basis and feel detoxed and clean.. I don't have any problems with my bowel movements but do certainly feel the benefits from the regular treatments.
Sure it can hurt but it is like any exercise program which strengthens a weak muscle. Colonics work on improving gut peristalsis so you will find that your body will process food and eliminate waste more effectively. This can assist in weight loss as at any time we can have up to 8 meals in our digestive system. I have known people to weigh up to 1.5 kgs lighter following a single colonic treatment.
The large colon is the sewer pipe of the body and poo sitting in there puts toxins back in our bodies. We need to cleanse this out to detox. Any cleanse program is of limited use if the body is toxic and the bowel does not eliminate effectively

I can only give you answers from my personal experience, having had just one colonic irrigation three years ago. I'm a 47-year-old woman. I believe the cost was around $100, but don't quote me on it. The weight loss for me was minimal. I experienced EXTREME discomfort during the procedure. Maybe it seemed so bad because I went in totally unprepared and expecting it to be pain free. To be perfectly honest, it was about as bad as an hour of labor (I've had three babies)! I've heard others say it shouldn't have been so bad, and depends upon the skill of the technician, but the woman who did mine was very experienced.
