Sugar alcohols do not show up as ethanol (alcohol) on a drug test. Different things entirely. The "detox" drink won't help anything, it's a waste of money, but it won't show up as a false positive.

Alcohol is burned terribly fast by your normal metabolism. As long as you have not had anything to drink (alcohol) for several hours, and were not totally faced when you had your last drink, there will not be any alcohol in your system. Besides, drug tests look for drugs, not alcohol.
