Recommend something for the sore throat?!

Question: please

Answers: please

If the sore throat is very painful, go to your family doctor to rule out strep throat, a nasty infection that people don't think of when it is cold/flu season. After that is ruled out, hot lemon-honey tea is good...anything hot is good. Hot soups are great and easier to swallow; chicken soup is best (sound familiar?). Anything ice cold is good too. Throat lozenges are good for short term relief....and best keep talking to a minimum.

Take care and get well soon.

Hot tea with honey and lemon. Cepacol sore throat drops are okay for a real short term. Zinc lozenges and Vitamin C will get you well super fast. Always works for me. Good luck!

Amoxicillan, time to go see the doc.

Zicam. It is over the counter at Walgreens. It is basically Zinc. Doesn't taste the best, but it has worked for me. They have a throat mist or Rapid Melts. I have used the Rapid Melts and I usually feel better after about an hour.

Otherwise, there is Chloraseptic throat spray. I believe this is supposed to desensitize your throat. I haven't used it, but it is marketed for sore thoats.

Good luck!

honey
