What do you think about homeopathy ?!

Question: Not only does homeopathy not work, but if it did then it would violate the laws of physics. Not a single molecule of the supposed active ingredient remains after the water has been diluted the requisite number of times. Homeopaths actually believe that the more dilute the remedy is, the more potent it is. My mind goes into fits trying to figure out why people by into these magic potions that consist of nothing but water.

If someone proved it worked, not only would they win JREF's $1 million, but they'd also get the Nobel prize. Instead, they just insult evidence based medicine in order to make their quackery look good.

I think it is valid and useful....what do you think was used before so called "modern medicine" came along? I see a homeopathic doctor as well as a medical doctor when I have a concern about my health. Often the homeopath will have better answers for me than the medical doctor.

I think its great! I use it for me and my children.

Homeopathic "remedies" are 100% plain water, maybe put into a pill form or other inactive carrier. There is not even a single molecule of active ingredient.

Homeopathy remedies do not work. The entire field is based on delusion in both practitioners and patients.

There is a $1 million dollar prize available to anyone who can demonstrate an effective homeopathy remedy. No-one has collected yet.

See the articles below, especially: "Homeopathy: The Ultimate Fake".

i tried homeopathy for breathlessness, but nothing good happened with it.

Hello ! happy to meet you here!
well homeopathy helped my mum a lot with her psoriasis.I suffer from asthma myself, and it did nothing good to me.Well, actually i don' t know what to think of it: i studied medecine (in france) during 2 years, and our teachers there told us that homeopathy was a mere placebo. anyway, if it has no significant positive effects on you, it can't harm you,...

eh ben ici ils sont encore plus forts pour les pouces en bas que chez nous...mdr

that it has no or almost no active molecule in it doesn' t mean it has no therapeutical effect: "placebo effect".

Homeopathy is a 200 year old method to treat hte maladies of mankind. It has stayed while drugs go in and out of fashion. the wonder drug of today will be off the market in 5 or 10 years and a new wonder will replace it.

Add
Vioxx was a wonder drug....Merck paid $4.5 Billion this year for the damage done to people!

"the wonder drug of today will be off the market in 5 or 10 years and a new wonder will replace it."

because "wonder drugs" are continually researched to find improvements -- homeopathy still uses the worthless "remedies" that were invented by Hahnemann 200 years ago -- and they haven't changed since.

Never trust a medical system that was invented by a single crackpot. Take advantage of the cumulative efforts of thousands of scientists.

Hmm I'm not sure but one thing that never fails me when I am a bundle of nerves is Bach Rescue Remedy. I'm not sure if that;s homeopathy but it's some sort of floral extracts.

It has been conclusively shown that the results of homeopathic treatment are no different from placebo treatment.

The danger is that one may leave things too late for modern medical treatment to be applied.

No homeopath could explain to me how a 1000 x natrimure (Sodium Chloride) carried on casein pellets, which have more NaCl in them will work. It is a different matter that 1000 x medicine can not have even one molecule of NaCl. Avogadro will turn in his grave.

I have tried it many times and it has never worked. I have given up.

Some people swear by them, others say they don't work. I have had mixed results. I have used homeopathic remedies for headaches and backaches and they have worked for me. There are a whole list of things you shouldn't do while taking these remedies that not a whole lot of people know about. Things like drinking caffeine or alcohol..smoking..etc. You might wanna get a book or go to a health food store and talk to someone that works there.

Good luck!

Top contributors do not necessarily know anything. I cannot ,for the life of e see where they get their information.
Homeopath doctors are the pre 1950s family doctor. They treat
the old fashion way. They actually try to cure the illness. THIS IS DONE using natural Herbs and plants and nutritious foods. There were NO PHARMACEUTICAL companies large enough to control the doctors. food was healthy and Insurance was non existant. It worked quite well and it is on the way back. Doctors of this day and age know little about nutrition.
