Hi,
Yep, Robitussin DM is fine for your blood pressure. The active ingredient is dextromethorphan that helps to suppress and stop the cough.
Over the counter preparations that you need to avoid are: nasal decongestant tablets and anti-inflammatory medicines. This is because they can raise your blood pressure and making your current medications ineffective.

Check out the contents on the side of the bottle ..... one of the major ones is more than likely ammonium chloride. If so, then your answer would be a resounding no. Ammonium chloride will rob you of your body's precious stores of vitamin C, as most exporants, decongestants and cough syrups will do. Vitamin C is vital in the body recovering from the common cold and for its prevention, lowers the incidence of blood clots in veins and helps lower high blood pressure. Soooo find another way to feel better without the chemicals. How about putting some pure essential peppermint oil into a salad bowl of hot water (about 10 drops) make a tent with a towel and lean over the bowl, ensuring you don't get so close that you burn yourself and inhale the lovely soothing steamy vapours.

****edit**** avoid the eucalyptus oil with high blood pressure..... ?

Hope you feel better soon?
