Question: i just got an aromatherapy collection for a late christmas prezzy but i dont know what they do i have 4 bottles
1) uplifting
2) calming
3) sensual
4) soothing
can any1 help me c wat these r? thanx

If they are aromatherapy blends of essential oils in an oil carrier you can use them for massage or put some in a bath. If they are just a blend of neat essential oils you will need to either use them on a burner or add 2 - 3 drops to a bout 5ml or a teaspoon of oil, like sweet almond or grapeseed oil. Then you can use them on yourself as above.
Check the labelling on the bottle carefully. The uplifting blend should probably make you feel a bit more awake and refreshed so don't use at night, calming one to relieve stress and for relaxing, sensual one would possibly have oils in with aphrodisiac properties and the soothing one for de-stressing and calming. Depends on the oils in each blend. Aromatherapy is an ancient form of healing using the essential oils of plants to effect change within the physical, emotional and mental state of a person. It is well researched and some results are now part of scientific study. Highly recommended is Valerie Ann Worwood' s Fragrant Pharmacys for a good guide to practical understanding and home use. So, they are aromatherapy and not essential oils right?
I believe with aromatherapy you just sniff them - let them linger in the house.
With essential oils you can rub them on your ears.
