HELP! Serotonin and Klonopin / Seroquel?!
Question: Hi,
I have been taking 5-htp 50mg, over a month but I don't see the good effect of it.
Is it because I have been taking Seroquel for 8 month (I stopped taking it 2 weeks ago) and I am still taking Klonopin 6 tablets before sleep?
Do you think either of the two meds above hinder the making of the serotonin?
I have taken 5-htp before, so I know how it enhances my moods and sleep, etc, but this time, it feels the 5-htp is not working well.
At first, I suspected the potency of the 5-htp so I switched to other new brand, but still don't see the effect.
Do you think it is because of either Klonopin or Seroquel?

I've heard that Seroquel is some pretty nasty stuff. Apparrently the FDA has issued warnings to Doctors about it, but nothing has really been done.
According to this site, serotonin levels can be related to diabetes. No one's really sure how, yet, but the correlation is seemingly pretty strong.
Good luck, and I hope neither of these medications cause you any additional pain.
I'd be more worried about what those drugs combined are doing to your liver
Taking the prescription drugs will cancel out the 5-htp. Take one or the other.
