Massage Therapy?!


Question: I just recently had a massage for the first time, and after I had it I felt really good and relaxed. Well then a day later, I felt crapy, and didn't have ANY energy at all, I even had diarrhea. I just felt really weak and frail. I remember after I had the massage the therapist told me to drink a lot of water, and I really didn't pay it any attention. But I heard that massaging the muscles will release toxins, is that true? Could that be why I felt soooo sick? I mean that was a week ago, and I feel fine now.

Yep you should drink your water after the massage. The reasoning behind this is: The massage releases the toxins back into the blood stream. The toxins are headed to your kidneys and are looking for a ride out of your body. If they don't get the ride, they will go back where they were and invite all of their cousins in for a pain party.

I don't know for sure but I too have heard that massage releases toxins. Next time, drink water, take a sauna, bathe in epsom salts, and talk to the massage therapist about your last experience. Of course it could be coincidental -- maybe you just happened to get the flu.

I believe Massage as you say removes the toxins so you should replace them with water, you should try a Thai Massage, I thought She was going to pull my Arms & Legs out of there sockets.

That's why you MUST drink a lot of water after a massage (at least 1 litre). That clears the toxins fast and smoothly. Without hydration, they will stay in the system and leave slowly and not smoothly.

Drink a lot now!! And use green herb teas. Fennel is good.

Hope you can lay hands on dark brown oil extracted from roasted coconut. Mix it with pure honey at ratio 1:2, coconut-honey. Leave mixture to blend for 24 hours, massage moderately as and when necessary. If available, massage with any cheap infra-red massager for some minutes before application of mixture. It works for us.

yes it is true, my friend here at work goes every wednesday and feels good for a day then feels like crap,

your best bet is to take 2 grams of Vitamin C a day, and it will open up your capillaries to release the poisen
