Wow......how big are these ants ? They love sweet stuff. There is an ant killer box, round shape, that they sell in hardware store...
Works great. What the ant does, is go in this little box, and bring some food back to the queen ant waiting in the nest. This kills her.
Once the queen is dead, soldiers move out.

Aardvark.

umm grtis kill the ants yea lol instant grits works well......who wulda thot!!

lol sounds funny to me. i just kill all of them by squishing them or burning them ( but dont set fire to ya house). or you can capture the queen and torture it.

just pour bleach on the holes

FORMULA 409, but I don't know how natural it is.....

Rubbing alcohol will remove the chemical markers that ants use to mark trails. If you wash your desk and the surrounding area with some strong rubbing alcohol they would have to find your desk all over again. I cannot think of anyway to kill them without resorting to non-natural methods.

These are a few of the things I have heard work:

Talcum scented baby powder
Comet
Black Pepper
Equal parts Windex and Ivory Soap. Simply mix, and spray problem areas
Bay Leaves
I also tried corn meal, I heard they eat it and they don't digest it so they die, but that didn't seem to work for me. I also heard cream of wheat will make them explode.

I hope one of these work for you.

I have heard that cloves work . Put them in the area they are surrounding or coming from . The cloves are said to have a smell or scent they don't like to be around and will leave.

I have a cat that attacks ants but that is not commonly seen.

I know that first hand the water drowning doesn't work. They sure seem to survive that, pouring bleach on their entrance is more effective. IF you have ants at your desk, check for anything sweet in your desk (sugar packets, honey, drinks with sugar in them, etc.) and then get rid of those there. This is drawing the ants and they are likely feeding on the stuff.

I would call an exterminator and see what they suggest also.

They may be more experienced to answer this one. I would not let them insist that you need their service though in the call. I feel that biting ants may be the red army kind and those are tougher to handle and get rid of sometimes. Good luck.

Natural way? I kill them using boiling water. Find their main colony outside, and pour. Wait a few days since they'll try to rebuild it, and pour again, that makes them leave for good.

bug spray works nicely

clean your desk of food or spilled drinks.

Fresh ground cinnamon worked for me. The oil is caustic to them.

They also hate lemon dish soap.

You have to try this, I was totally amazed when I saw how effective the following method was- yet it was cheap and simple.

Talcum powder actually keeps ants away, so just spread a barrier of talcum powder around you and the ants won't come in!

Use pure Clorox bleach . Soak the nest, or really soak the crack or passage where they come in. It should kill the ants it touches, and render the passage unusable for them.

It worked for me.

They sure do hate scented baby powder!
