Has anyone used the japanese detoxifying foot pads? Do they really work?!

Question: I was wondering before I went out and bought some...

Unlikely. There are a lot of variations of these detoxifying products on the market under the guise of assisting with your health. Usually, there is some chemical component that creates the discoloration that has little to do with actually detoxifying your body, but "wows" us into believing we have these horrible toxins in us. For example look at this similar "aqua detox" used to rip off hundres of people.

Trust me, if they were legitimate, they would be covered on CNN, Fox and on the cover of Time and Newsweek. This is really a form of "quackery" designed to separate you from your hard-earned money.

I use the website quackwatch.com a lot as they really do a great job of pointing out all these methods that serve only to "detox" your wallet. More importantly, they distract people from legitimate alternative treatments or even traditional treatments.

sadly no - the pads (if you check the ingrediants) actually have mushrooms in them - when they are left out overnight, they oxidize and change colour, and it looks like its taken toxins out of your feet. :S

I used them before-for about a week-there's definetly stuff on them after you wear them overnight. The package said the stuff you see is from toxins drawn out of your body-could be true I don't know. Try it!
