Can one be allergic to melatonin? Is it ASA based?!

Question: You might not be allergic to it but you may already have a healthy balance of it in your system. I reacted to it myself. I got shaky and felt like I was going to fly apart. I inquired of a alternative med health professional and he explained that if those were my symptoms then a lack of Melatonin was not my problem that my system was producing enough on it's own. I should add that 5-Htp and valerian worked better for me.

Theoretically it's possible to be allergic to anything, but I've never heard of anyone reacting to melatonin. No, there's no ASA in it.

It is a naturally occurring hormone, so it is unlikely to cause allergies, but anything is possible...depends on the source.

No, it is not ASA based.
