What are the benifits of medicinal Marijuana ?

recreational marijuana is wrong and against the law.to me they both are ok.now to the why:

i suffer from chronic asthma.i have an asthma attack almost every 5 minutes even though they are small in severity, they are still painful and incapacitating.i was born with asthma.i could'nt be allowed to be a kid.i could'nt run, play with the other kids,do kid stuff because it would immediately cause an asthma attack.i was also born with arthritis.i live a normal life now because i had to make myself take the pain and stop being weak about it.to answer your question, yes marijuana did help me to function normally but it's even harder to concentrate when you can't focus because you're high.another side effect that they don't tell you about is "short term memory loss".unless something directly concerns me i can't remember what i did 2 days ago or 3 hours ago.the part of my brain that involves short term memory is gone.if you said something to me and came back an hour later and asked me what did you say,i would'nt have a clue what you were talking about.it is frustrating to not remember simple times.my mom passed away in "05" and i have to constantly ask my brother to tell me about her.for those who have never tried it, don't.for those who do it,stop now.the demons you create are more dangerous than the ones you are trying to escape.

i dont know about medicinal marijuana but i do smoke smoke marijuana, i love it,

all depends on the person

orginally to the law it's illegal.

I think they are both the same and have the same effects on people. Only difference is if you have a prescription then it's not illegal to use it.

I dont think either is inherently right or wrong. It is wrong to legislate morality, and keeping marijuana illegal isn't going to make it go away and it will continue waste alot of money. It has been shown that marijuana does have medicinal uses.

Medicinal is government grown, regulated and pure. Recreational can be grown anywhere by anybody and cut with anything and is illegal.

i believe its used to treat glacoma. also, if you hava ashma attacks, the LAST thing you need to do is be smoking...anything! get a rx. geez. anyway, i've thought about this question alot myself and i've come to the conclusion that it would be ok medicinally but not recreationally. think about meds like prozac or percecet. both are sold on the street illegally for recreational purposes, which is wrong and unhealthy in my opinion. however, if prescribed these meds for pain or depression, its used to help, not hurt you and it'd be ok. i've been on both meds and i would never consider it ok to take them if i didn't need them to treat an ailment. also, when they're prescribed, it's usually for short term use which would prevent a dependence on the med or abuse of it.

I think that since marijuana is a plant, we should be allowed to make use of it in any way we see fit. Neither one is wrong. It's illegality has foundations in pure racism.

Check out that site.

Medicinal marijuana is called Marinol capsule. It is a narcotic and must be prescribed by a physician. The other kind is illegal.

There are many other ways to treat the conditions that "medical" Marijuana is used for today.

Recreational... ?
Why bother there is way much to do that is far more beneficial to the body, mind, and spirit that some temporary high.
Marijuana leaves trace residuals in the non water soluable tisuse around the brain these have effects that may be detrimental and long lasting. Many chemicals not just those of marijuana may alter and defect eggs or sperm so a person is not just affecting them selves but any children they may have.
