Because they are independent businesses, so they can set their rates and prices. Just like any other business can set its own rates and prices.

You might try a different category, this is not an Alternative Medicine question, we don't do drugs here. You'll probably get better results (more views) in the general health area.

It depends on the health insurance plan your company provides. There are many different plans out there. Also, if you have a union, that is something they can bargain for at contract time. My wife had a great plan at her last teaching job. The co-pay was $2.50 and $5. In her new teaching job it's $10, $20 and $30 depending on the drug and whether or not it's generic.

Don't know but all original and generic medicine are the same the only thing that change is the brand name.
