A big part of it has to do with lymph nodes. I know that lymph drainage massage performed regularly by a massage therapist can really help to cleanse the body. Colonic Hydrotherapy is good too. I don't have any links, just word of mouth. But, my own opinion that to be in optimal health, all systems of the body need to work in synergy. If one organ fails to do it's job then the rest of the system suffers. Hope that has helped!
