Proper way to take ADHD medication?!

Question: My friend said you gotta eat or you stomach gets messed up? Is there any tips on how to take the medication and not get sick? Like "eat this" and "drink water at ____ o-clock" any little tips like that?

Whenever I take mine in the morning, I need breakfast. If I don't, my stomach will hurt A LOT. So the only tip I can think of is to eat before (like your friend said).

Take it with a glass of milk.

in the morning i don't eat, i've always had an upset stomach if i do...so it's not like you're REQUIRED to. you don't get sick from taking the medication, i've been on three kinds of stimulants in the last 10 years and none of them i don't think i've ever had side effects. just be sure to take your pill in the morning or whenever you wake up with some kind of liquid. oh and also, it's REALLY not wise to be drinking a lot of coffee or energy drinks. people with ADHD ( i think ADD also) have the reverse effect on caffeine. it makes you tired real fast with coffee and red bulls, stuff like that. just be sure to not forget to take your meds. that's all of the tips you need. if you feel like it's not helping you, you should go to the doctor and tell him.

i take it on an empty stomach AS I AM TOLD....it is weakened when taken with food......take on an empty stomach if its ritalin....and concerta can be with food......but i say take it on an empty stomach for the best result......food disturbs teh absoroption.. and be wholesome
