Is there a non surgical way or diet to treat gallstones?!

Question: The doctor said I have cholelithiasis, he suggest a minor operation. I don't really like to undergo anymore operation is there a good diet or alternative medicine that can treat this?

TOO RIGHT THERE IS!

Don't just listen to the quacks. Go see a Naturopath. The cleanses for removing gallstones are quick, easy and efficient, there is no reason for removing your gall bladder.

Only have it removed in emergency situations - but don't do the cleanses on your own - go see a qualified naturopath who can teach you to do them properly.

Yes, they stones can come back in time, but the cleanses are too easy too do to remove them again AND you NEED your gall bladder. It is not a useless part in your system - a good Naturopath will help you find the answers to why they are forming and sort the cause of the problem.

Removing the gall bladder will just fix a symptom and leave you with the cause of the problem, no gall bladder and a rich doctor. Just do a search for "liver" or "gallbladder cleanse" to see the volume of info that there is out there about this.

Hope that helps.

unfortuneately there isnt anything better to do than to have the operation. i had the operation in august, it is very routine and relatively painless...sometimes you can take medicine to disolve the gallstones but, they usually just form again and again until the problem is taken care of.

I'm also in search os such methods. As far as I know Hamdard Foundation in India, Pakistan & Arab countries has one medicine "Safora" for that but I've not come across any patient benefited out of that. A syrup "ACTA GAL" I saw on internet on www.adobe.com but I don't know more. In South Asian countries many people boil sugarcane juice so much that it becomes a thich solution called RAAB. It is written in many literatures that if you mix 'Raab' & olive oil 50:50 & take 1-2 teaspoon regularly, the stones will vanish from gall bladder. One Hakim of Mumbai Ahdyl Qavi claims that he has non surgical cure for this & all other ailments like cancer, heart problems etc. His clinic is there in Madanpura area. His clinic is highly crowded. He is practicing for over 3 decades. His advertisement too comes daily in the Urdu newspaper 'Inquilab'(www.inquilabdaily.com).
There is an old & very big 100 year old pharmacy (Hakimi Pharmacy, Bhindi Bazar, Mumbai, India, 400003)in the heart of Mumbai city with 4 doctors sitting in its adjacent clinic which claims similarly having non-surgical methods for all problems including this one. Checkup if free but the medicines are costly say Rs. 3000($ 60), I came to know, having no personal experiece. Try to see details on www. hakimipharmacy.com.

There is no other way to remove gallstones but the surgery is what they call same day you go in say one nite home the next day You had three small 1 cenimeter incisions on you right side of adbomen. They heal no scars they are so small. Also you may have other stones in you common bile duct which will create other problems they will be able to see all of this with a scope. That is how the surgery is done . It is very unusual to cut anyone to remove a gallblader.

The function of the gallbladder is to process the cholesterol that you consume in your diet. This means you have too fatty of a diet. So, obviously, you need to change your diet whether you have the surgery or not. Avoid fatty foods, simple. Think about what dissolves or "cuts" the fat - lemon juice. So, drink lots of hot tea with plenty of lemon. Or just drink hot lemon water with honey to sweeten. You also need to exercise more so that the fat you do ingest has somewhere to go instead of your gallbladder and liver.

If you have the surgery, your liver will eventually take over the function of the gallbladder in processing and removing excess cholesterol from the bloodstream. However, if you don't change your diet, you will put further hardship on your liver and your heart, requiring medicine down the road, which has its own side effects.

If you can avoid surgery, that is the best solution, as the body was designed to keep all its internal organs.

If you don't have the surgery, a stone could get lodged in a bile duct, causing the worst severe pain you could imagine. This requires immediate surgery as you will have serious problems if the gall bladder bursts.

So, a suggestion would be to schedule the surgery, but while you are waiting for the surgery, say two weeks later, change your diet and begin to exercise. If the pain goes away and you begin to feel better, then cancel the surgery. The doctor knows all this other stuff, but they don't tell you because you didn't know to ask him. Besides, if he tells you this stuff, he can't pay off his BMW.

Delay the operation and try this for 4 months.
The exercises will help to break up the gallstones(especially kapalbhati).Drink plenty of warm water.Build up your timing for the exercises gradually and do them everyday. It may take 4 to 12 weeks. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume the exercise later.
