Awww, poor baby! You can make Chamomile tea (no sugar added of course) and let it cool completely. Once it is cool you absorb some onto a cotton ball and wash the eye with it. Some places also sell this solution as eye drops but it may be hard to find. My mom always did this for us and I've used it now, even to relieve allergies, it is completely safe and gentle. Good luck to you!

Simalasan eyedrops work well. You can buy them at most drug stores or Walmart/Walgreens. Here is the web site. I have used these drops on my kids with great results.

Have you tried going to a health food store? They usually have some homeopathic medications. My niece uses homeopathic meds for her children as they teeth. GL

There is no natural remedy for conjunctivitis that I am aware of. There is available from a drug store, ophthalmic triple antibiotic ointment. I just use regular triple antibiotic ointment, a tiny dab in each eye when I feel the beginning of the potential for conjunctivitis. Twice a day for three days, and it's over. OK, Tag you're it.

Did you ever try baby's pee? seriously, it has a lot of steroids. If you think it would be too acidic, delude with little destilled water. On a cotton ball some ten dropps, whipe the eyes. make sure the eyes are closed. My grandma used to do it to us, and it worked well.
And I appologize if you feel it's gross. It kinda is, but you better give it a try.

Wow... I know you only have your baby's best interest at heart, and that modern medicine is often very abstract and not intuitive, but these alternative treatments sound awful and dangerous and I can't believe anyone would do something like put urine into a baby's eyes! What exactly is your problem with antibiotics? A little bit of education about these matters might convince you to take the best course of action with your precious little baby's eyes. Do you want to risk blinding your child because you are afraid of medicine? Many of these remedies listed appeal to scientific authority, but in a more common sense manner. Please trust a doctor's advice over any of these "experts" on yahoo answers. Just because people historically got away with bad treatments for "minor conditions" such as pink eye doesn't mean that your baby has to suffer the same way people have for centuries. We finally have the technology to make our lives healthier and it really saddens me to see someone betray all that we've learned, especially when it involves your innocent little baby. If you love your child do whats best and give her some antibiotics. I'm sure she'll thank you when she's older and still has her vision.
