I have a very good recipe for a tea that helps quiet coughing.

You need three ingredients.
Cinnamon Tea Bags
Gordo Dolobo
Honey

Take the tea bags and Gordo Dolobo and place in a kettle. Gordo is a loose leafy herb with flowers, Boil for 15 minutes, strain and then add honey. !!!!!This will make you sleepy!!!!!

To find Gordo Dolobo look in the isle where mexican spice are kept in the grocery store, You will see that while mostly in Spanish the name of everything is written in English in smaller print just under the Spanish name. Cinnamon is Cannella is Spanish and gordodolobo is the same. Good luck.

dont cough duhhhh

eat a teaspoon or 2 of honey
gargle with salt water

Drink water

try drinking milk...it works for a short time

go to the ER or your doctor.

Slippery Elm lozenges or tea. It works incredibly fast, and the taste is mild.

lemon juice and honey

Cough Drop Blondie!!

just take some cough syrup or some cough drops.

anything citriusy always helps me
pineapples, grapefruits, oranges. etc.
also hot bubble baths where the bathroom gets all steamy always helps too.

well i wouldnt really count this as a home remedy, but i say a doce of nyquil and a good nights rest. always worked for me!

stop smoking weed and take butter cup syrup

The remedy just published in the Medical Journal from research done in Canada, was to rub the bottom of your feet with Vicks Vaporub and put on socks. It is to stop you from coughing in 10 minutes. They know it works but cannot explain why.

my granny always gave us a cup of hot water with a tsp each of honey and cider vinegar. it seemed to take our cough away. don't chug it but just sip it . hope it works for you

Here's some major tips:
1.take a warm bath or shower

2. drink chicken soup

3. drink lots of water

4. mix hot water with salt and drink it

5. drink lemonade

6.mix honey and apple cider together and drink it

7. get some rest

8.eat one of the hall candies

I hope this really helps, I was sick not long ago too. I hope you feel better.=)

Steam - hold your head over a bathroom basin with the hot water running and a towel draped over your head. Make a hot lemon, honey and water drink and don't smoke.

First you need to find out the reason you're coughing. If you have had the cough for more than 2 weeks, you should be seen by a doctor. Coughs can be caused by several things. If you have a very sore throat, I recommend Bradosol or Sucrets lozenges. If it's the result of an allergy, than you need an antihistimine such as Allegra.

honey in warm milk.

Eat something with mint -- Altoids or lifesavers --- or brush your teeth. It helps, seriously.

Drink lots of hot tea. Drink warm water -- no ice or from the dispenser on the fridge.

Get some couch drops and some cough medicine too. Theraflu and Tylenol Cold Relief works for me.

Dress warmly. That helps too.

aside from cough meds, I always drink warm (non caffeinated) tea with some honey in it to sooth my sore throat. It's an old cure, but one that works.
And as usual, try to avoid straining your throat with talking, singing, or coughing.
If it doesn't get better in a couple days, go to a doctor.
Best of Luck! ^_^

gargle with sea salt and water

Whenever anyone comes into the Emergency Department with a persistant hacking cough we give them a regular Coke. Pepsi won't work as well.

slice an onion and cover with sugar about 1/4 to1/2 a cup depending on the size if onion live it over night in a room temperature in the morning you should have onion syrup eat that that should help you to loosen up the chest congestion. my husband was coughing like that and all he was drinking was hot milk with garlic and some butter, if you can handle that than go for it
