Attn: Chiropractors....question about Chiro School?!

Question: I have applied to 3 Chiro schools: Logan, National, and Northwestern. Can anyone steer me towards or away from any of the 3?

Are they equally as good? Logan actually offers a concurrent D.C./M.S.(in sports rehab) program. How important is that really when it comes to practice?

Thank you so much in advance for the help!

National now offers a Masters in Advanced Clinical Studies which is being taught by some of our professions clinical leaders as well as by Medical doctors. This program is designed to make Doctors of Chiropractic better clinicians, I believe they are stearing towards a Primary care role for chiropractics.

They also are going to be starting a Masters in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) in 2010 throught the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedics. I am currently taking Orthopedics diplomate courses now and can tell you that these these classes seem to be essential to becoming a musculoskeletal specialist.

The Advanced clinical classes are in a weekend seminar form, I assume so we docs out here are able to fly in to take them. I believe the PM&R will be weekends as well. For the PM&R we will need a BS degree, a BA won't cut it. Therefore, myself and many other docs will need to fill out our undergrads with a BS from a college that will let us.

You asked to contact me by email, so I have opened up the ability to contact me via email on my profile, but only temporarily. I usually only come onto Y/A to goof around in the Religion and Spirituality forum, and to answer occasional questions about Suzukis, and to put in my two cents when someone asks about chiropractic. I will be turning it off soon so someone who doesn't like one of my answers can't contact me.

i strongly suggest another field if i could do it over again i would get into something else. I know that's not what you want to hear~ i know for a fact that at least half of my class isn't even practicing cause they have gone under due to insurance.

look kid, i am a chiropractor and i strongly recommend that you look into another field. The income now a days isn't there because of the insurance companies. I don't care if you know of someone doing great, i will show you thousands that are not. Go into dental or pharmacy its where the money is. I can not stress this enough

don't go~ worst mistake of my life~ i got out of school with 100k in debt and the job markey sucks- don't believe the BS the schools tell you.

my wife went under and she worked her butt off. Get into another field.
