Serious Question: Why is "Massage" under "Adult Entertainment?!

Question: In the early years of my practice, I was required to register as an adult entertainer. This was kind of degrading but necessary for me to continue my practice. Now that the board of massage and bodywork therapy has come to be, the designation of adult entertainer has vanished from the books in North Carolina. We are now Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapists.
Woo Hoo! What a difference. Now we don't have to answer the Happy Ending questions any more.

adult massages

Because adults get massages and it's entertaining.

How many kids do you know that get massages?

Also.. maybe they mean something else...

because massages r often very sensual and cause the massagees 2 become more relaxed, stimulated, and aroused

HAPPY ENDIN BABBY! LOL

LOL It is about as close to "sex" as you can pay for legally. And often, it can turn into a little more with the right price and the right girl.

nicely put, Mikey (abouve me)

HA! Its about the "Happy Ending"

That's a good question, since massage can often help with multiple health problems. Odd. But then again, you could always ask a massage question in general health, since they're most likely referring to sexual massage.

Under 'adult entertainment' it is a code word for sixual (filter dodge spelling) stimulation offered. If you see Massage advertised under 'Physical Therapy' or 'sports injury rehab', or 'Martial Arts injury treatments' you will be probably getting straight body help massage- like a 'chiropractic session lite'. May cost less, may not need penicillin after wards.

I, as a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist, am appalled and compelled to answer this. Massage Therapy should NOT be listed under Adult Entertainment!! Under no circumstances. Would a GYN exam be the Doctors entertainment? Or a colon exam be only for the perverted who happen to enjoy touch there?
No. We in this profession, should be treated as any other RESPECTED healing practitioners.
Find another label for that "entertainment"!
