Geritol and ttc?!

Question: Hi ladies. I got AF today so it is on to a new cycle and was wanting to know if anyone has used or knows someone who has used Geritol (high potency, otc multivitamin) to conceive? Do you know if the tonic (liquid) or the pills are better? I know there are no scientific research to support this theory but the Geritol is loaded with iron and all of the B vitamins that have been proven to boost fertility and your immune system. I bought the tonic and will be starting it today. Should I still take my prenatal vitamin or just purchase some folic acid vitamins to take with the Geritol? Thanks for any help or advise.

Many prayers for those ttc!!!!!!!

TTC for 18 months, ob/gyn doesn't see an real issues and hubbys sperm is ok too

Geritol is loaded with iron and B vitamins, but, depending on your prenatal, that, too, can be loaded with the same. I wouldn't do both, HoneyB1, being cautious not to overdose. Look and see the dosage of folic acid in Geritol: if it is similar to your prenatal, you don't need an additional folic acid supplement, if not, I would do so. Did you get the Geritol for Women, or the original? Just curious. To answer your question, I would do either the prenatal vitamins, or the Geritol, not both. Boo your AF came today, I was hoping we wouldn't see it for at least 8 months! Well, we live to ttc another month! My prayers are also with you, dear.

uhh

Ok well my aunt and my cousin took geritol. After 2 years of trying to conceive with no success my cousin tried geritol and was pregnant 2 months after taking it. My aunt concieve after 1 year of taking geritol. This was many years ago..but hey i say go for it. I am ttc and i am just taking prenatal pills right now, well at least until i go see another doctor.
