Parents-do you know what your kids are doing online?!

I'm 18 and everything you are saying is exactly true. I don't do that no more, but i use to look online to see what drugs i can buy from my local drug store to get high on. Parents are working not really in our lives or we just don't want them to be and we don't let them but as parents they should force themselves in. I'm is probably pretty hard though. Especially when you think your friends are you family when they are doing the same things you are, and around the same age as you. You really don't know much or don't know what direction is right. It is the parenting at an early age. Depends how it was just like everyone says.
This has to do with more of a lack of proper education than parents monitoring the net usage.
Hard illicit drug use is down with teens while rx abuse is up. This is because we are told rx's are safe. And they are when used appropriatly and responsibly.
However, teens are misinterperting that in thinking that they are also safe to abuse.
My question isnt why arent the parents monitoring the net, rather why arent the parents EDUCATING their children. Same thing with sex and preg. EDUCATION.
The best advice about what your kids are watching on the Internet, came from a teenager and that was. 'Do not allow the computer in their bed room, but some where you are able to see what their are connecting with..
But you must communicate with them, if you don't they will find a way to do the unthinkable behind your back, because you cannot watch over them 24 hours a day, they can go to a Friends house. Good Luck
I'm a teenager and I don't use drugs because im not stupid. lol
But I guess teenagers who usually do it have problems in school or at home.
