my advice is to keep your throat warm.

drinking tea-hot water (add flavour e.g. honey and lemon if yo prefer) instead of room temp water.

your body is making that area warm in order to heal. each time you cool the area with cool or room temp food or drink, it has to re-warm itself again. this encourages infections and bacterial growth.

soo.. drink hot water and lots of it. eat soft warm foods like pasta or chicken or soup or mashed vegetables.

try a nice warm tea......

home remedy honey and lemon is good for throat squeeze 1 or 2 lemon and mix with honey
drink it kills infection

Mullein tea with honey to sweeten (steep mullein 5-8 minutes, drink hot).

Apple cider vinegar - 1 tsp in a glass of apple juice.

Apply warm, wet compress to area.

1 part Jack Daniels, 2 parts raw honey, 2 parts fresh squeezed lemon juice
I usually mix it in tablepoon quantities, add enough hot waer to fill a mug and sip on it.
Hot toddies are great for sore throats, but I am not sure about lymph glands. They typically indicate infection. Maybe you should add a couple of garlic cloves, minced as finely as possible.
For my family, ImmunoStart is the be-all-end-all product for anything Immune system related. It has never failed us. Haven't been to the doctor sick in over 5 years, and I have ten kids in the house.

warm water with 3-4 drops tea tree oil, gargle and rinse mouth every few hours.
