No, but the vitamin C in orange juice can be. Actually, excessive vitamin C intake to be more precise. I doubt you would want to drink THAT much orange juice. The way to know when you have your Vit C dosage correct is to go until your BM gets loose and soft, then back off the C just a bit.

Prunes definitely are, as are raisins.

Add more fiber - Flax seed is a good source We grind our own flax seed when we need it with a cheap coffee grinder. A tablespoon a day is a maintenance dose. Flax has many benefits beyond being a great source of fiber and the bowel regulation that encourages. But, it comes with a warning to only take with adequate water intake - make sure you are getting plenty of water in your day. One friend does this by actually adding the ground flax to 16 oz of water and drinking it. Also, do not use flax if you have a bowel obstruction (other than constipation of course).

To help regulate your bowels and keep things normal add probiotics - 1x daily, and enzymes - with each meal. That should stabilize things. Also, even if not taking flax, make sure you get enough water. Most don't, but it is VERY important. Great book on water "Your Body's Many Cries for Water"

fiber...lots of fiber

No, it lacks fibre. Apples are much higher in fibre - but you should eat them, not drink the juice. You should try metamucil which is natural and not bad tasting. Get the NON GRITTY type if you gag when something is in your beverage. You should eat ALL BRAN cereal every day and perhaps twice a day - it works very well. Carrots are somewhat good as are most vegetables. Two bowls of ALL BRAN a day and 2 to 3 apples a day will have you feeling quite well in 2 to 5 days. You could supplement this with a glass of Metamucil or you can depend on the Metamucil which you would take 3 times a day. You may need to start the Metamucil with a little less than I said, the container will tell you. But you may suffer from not enough fibre if you start too light. If you take too much, you could get diarrhea or similar but this will end after a short period of time as your body adjusts. If you eat a lot of raw vegetables throughout the day along with 2 to 4 apples and 2 bowls of all bran a day - one in morning, one as perhaps an evening or after work/school snack - you will do fine.

I know of a laxative colon cleansing diet and it consisted of a lot of acidic fruits (especially lemons). They should do the trick.

Prune juice is a great natural laxx. Doesn't taste as bad as it sounds either. Pretty good stuff.

No!
The best thing to do to relieve constipation naturally is to eat a banana last thing at night!

yep, make sure NOT to get rid of the Pulp.

any fruit or vegetable is a natural laxative.

two-two has spoken

Oranges are very laxative and are much better than the juice as the juice does not contain any fiber. If you want vitamin C then, of course, the juice is much better.
