I've been taking Juice Plus since it came out almost 15 years ago. First it was because I trusted the company that made it and it made sense to me. Over the last 14 years I have watched and listened as more and more sound research was done on it (and published in leading peer-reviewed journals). Several years ago I listened to an audio presentation by the president of Natural Alternatives International, the company that physcially makes the end product for NSA, describing the manufacturing process and it is fascinating. There is not enough organic produce available to supply the needs of the manufacturer. However, each batch of Juice Plus is tested using High Pressure Liquid Chromotography (HPLC). This "state of the art" process analyses the chemical composition of the juice powders. If any pesticide or herbicide is detected, the batch is destroyed.

Tours of the manufacturing facility in San Diego can be arranged. The manufacturing process is patented, but essentially the produce is juiced and dehydrated at a very low temperature. As you probably know, nutrient content of produce can vary, depending on many things, including the soil in which it is grown. It is my understanding that during the HPLC process they also determine the levels of certain nutrients and, if needed, are able to add that nutrient to keep the product uniform from batch to batch.

Me and my kids take Juice Plus. My neighbor gave me the literature on it and two bottles. I love it. I was sure about it at first because I had not heard of it but asked my pediatrician and he highly recommended it. Also, I was reading a book on ADHD and four doctors wrote the book. They mention Juice Plus in there for good health. I couldn't believe it. I am a believer. Check out website and maybe see if they can send you some literature.
