Whole food vitamins for children...which is the best?!

Question: I currently use Natures Plus Animal Parade for my 2 and 5 year olds. Is there a better one for kids that is chewable/gummie and whole food?

Your question title grabbed my attention - While supplementing with vitamins is probably okay, it's not going to help your kids develop healthy habits. This is more important.

I have stopped using "vitamins", and started using "whole foods". My daughter loves fruits and veggies. If you give your children foods with high-fructose corn syrup, their chances of getting diabetes is greatly increased.

Teach them to love fruits and veggies. Eat unprocessed foods as much as possible.

I use wholefood farmacy, and my daughter loves it, especially TropiPhi, Fruitalicious, and BuckyBall Matrix. These products are raw, organic, and vegan. You can go to www.wholepurefood.com and watch the videos. It will change your perspective on feeding your children.

More children are obese, getting diabetes, and having behavioral problems than ever before, and it's mostly diet related.

Gummi vitamins are a band-aid. Your kids will just learn to eat candy from getting those. I stopped using them years ago.

My daughter even drinks Kombucha tea now. Kids will eat what you give them. It's not too late to start giving them healthy foods, and they will thank you for it later, as well as now, because they taste a lot better than processed, toxic food.

Sorry if this is not the answer you wanted, but I could not help but notice your question and felt a need to suggest that you educate yourself on healthy eating...for real.

Children count on us to teach them healthy habits, and many parents are failing to do this...with the best of intentions, but still failing...at the ages your children are, you have every opportunity, especially with your two year old...to give them healthy habits for life.

I use nature's sunshine chewable for my kids. Its not a gummie, they love it though. Nature's sunshine also has an Elderberry Chewable which is great for their overall imunities this time of year. Check it out!

We used to use Nature's Plus but switched to Yummi Bears with minerals. The kids like them better, but they really aren't that whole food.

We do other supplements too, as we are addressing some specific issues we have discovered - like mitochondrial dysfunction and ASD symptoms. We try to get the whole food as whole food as much as possible. My kids love most food, especially the good veggies and herbs. Nothing like going in a restaurant with a kid and having them look for spinach and broccoli on the menu and ask for water with lemon - always shocks the servers. They have a ball when we go to the health food store. But, they are kids, and we do have to remind them occasionally that not everything in a health food store is healthy!

Hope you find the one that suits you and your kids.

Have you heard about Himalayan Goji Juice? It is all natural with no preservatives. It tastes like apple juice - and kids love it! It contains all of the needed minerals and vitamins, and plenty of antioxidants! Matter of fact, it was even recently recommended on the Oprah show.

nah, go with Alive, go with Alive..

I currently use the exact same for my 2 year old daughter. As a change of pace they do make gummies as well as powder and liquid forms. I actually work in a health food store and have frequented other health food stores and have not found any other multi that appears to be as good as the Animal Parade. Honestly if it ain't broke don't fix it.
