My pediatrcian said about 50% of the adult dosage, means 500 mg should be o. k.
My daughter weights 30 lbs

I don't, but the person who runs this page might - http://www.danasview.net . She may even have the info somewhere on her site; it is very informative. Or at least she might know where you can find the info. I assume she has a link to contact her somewhere. I'm not affiliated, just a site I use for a lot of good info and links to get to good info.

Good luck.

You might want to add some Borage Oil into her diet which is very high in GLA. You can puncture the capsule and squeeze some on her food and you can also apply it topically to the eczema itself. Do a web search on "benefits of borage oil for eczema" and "benefits of borage oil for children". Read through the listed sites. My cousin uses this for her 2 sons and loves the results she is getting with it. (One son is 8 years old and one is 1 year old.)

Can I ask you why you have decided to use l-lysine for eczema? I have never heard or read that it is for this condition. L-lysine is beneficial for proper bone development in children, aids in the production of antibodies, hormones, and enzymes and helps in collagen formation and tissue repair. Also good for fighting cold sores and herpesviruses.

Good Luck!

Definitely go to Danasview like Zambiti mentions. Dana will answer questions in the GFCFkids yahoo group and the Autism-Mercury group. She usually suggests starting at a low dose with the lysine. I was only giving my son 250mg's and he weighs 42 pounds. You can find alot of info in both groups, join the group and search the archives.

From looking in the archives at GFCF. Lysine sometimes requires B Vitamins and selenium. Sometimes B Vitamins need carnitine for proper absorption. Selenium needs its own magnesium. So before you fill your cabinet full of supplements you might want to ask Dana for sure. I can ask the question for you if you want me too.
