Do you go to a chiropractor or not?!

Question: Does it work for you or not?

Answers: Does it work for you or not?

I went to one for a couple of years and then started working for that office and did so for another 3 years. After I switched jobs again I didn't have that opportunity to get adjusted on a regular basis and I started to feel the stress on my body and began having headaches on a regular basis. Started going again about a year ago and I definitely notice a difference in a positive way. Both of my boys are going now too and the older one rarely has a migraine anymore after having them every week or two. The younger son just started going and he's already sleeping better at night.

Yes, they usually start you out having adjustments 3x per week, but as you progress it's reduced. Eventually you just go for maintenance. I can definitely feel the difference and I can also feel when I need a good crackin'. It's really about taking care of your body as a whole and preventing future illness. Why someone wouldn't want to start going because then they'd have to go regularly is beyond me. Personally, if something helps me feel better, then I'm all over that! :)

If it didn't work, medicare and most insurance wouldn't cover it. Will it work for you? Based on the vagueness of your question, probably not.

Yes, I have been going to chiropractors for about 20 years now. However, there is a great range of competence within the profession. Palmer is one of the most respected schools.
Ask where your guy went to school and go for Palmer. Ask how long they have been in practice (more than 4 years).
Chiropractic works with the spine. If the person makes, what seem to you, far out claims, they are, get someone else! It is not true that insurance companies don't pay, my state or county employee insurance has always paid, as does Medicaid. The AMA hounded chiropractic for over 100 years, but finally, 4 or 5 years ago, had to publicly apologize to the profession. Some hospitals and M.D. offices include the profession among the staff. I, personally, would never have my back operated on without chiropractic consultation first.

i have never gone because i have heard that once u start you have to go all the time.

Yes
Have been for a number of years. I have moved around the country a bit and always located a chiropractor first for my health care needs. I consider my chiro my primary care doc. If I have to have MD care I get the referral from my DC. Works great for me!

Yes, I do. It works great!
My chiropractor fixed my wrists (carpal tunnel) when my GP wanted to do surgery.
And he knows more about nutrition and its effect on overall health than any other doc I ever saw.

Most people are unaware that M.D.s receive next to no instruction regarding nutrition, and Chiros generally get a lot of nutrition coursework.

Yes I do...My MD put me on pain medication that put me in the hospital...I sought out a chiropractor and I am pain free...I go every 6 mo. for a short treatment. I have scoliosis. My son and nephew also go. Insurance companies recognize chiropractors so that has got to tell you something
