Frozen Shoulder or Supraspinatus tendinitis (Impingement Syndrome)?!

Question: What is the difference - Is one pretty much the same as the other and which is worse ???

Frozen Shoulder - When the CAPSULE around the shoulder joint gets stiff (shrinks) and becomes less mobile. It has an insidious onset (unknown cause), but it is theorized that it is from a decrease in shoulder movement/activity. Seen mostly in older women.

Impingement Syndrome - When a MUSCLE in the shoulder becomes trapped or pinched between bony structures in the shoulder. Can occur from injury or a preexisting bony protrusion on the Acromion process (a bone in the shoulder that the muscle gets caught on). Seen in both men and women at younger ages. (tends to be more painful than frz shld)

A Few Similarities
Both are shoulder impairments. Both are painful, limit range of motion and interfere with function & both can be treated with physical therapy.

A Few Differences
the structures: one is related to muscle and the other the capsule that surrounds the joint
Impingement is said to be more painful than Frzn shld

trust you to come on here with this

Good question...I know that having regular baths with Dead Sea salts and use of Dead Sea Natural mineral soap daily will help hill the Frozen shoulder. My Nana went to Dead Sea for one month to have treatment and they recommended a follow on with AROMA LUXURY Dead Sea salts (one bath every 3 days for 4 months) and use of AROMA Natural Mineral Soap daily as the are enriched with Dead Sea minerals...and now she feels great.

No. They are two different diagnosis, but both affect the shoulder and both cause pain. I guess it would depend on which diagnosis you had to determine which one is worse.
