Any suggestions for constipation?!

Question: Psyllium Husks are excellent. I tell my customers to use 1 teaspoon in a large glass of water and drink quickly. you can use it twice a day and there are no side effects for long term use, its just a great source of fibre. Becuse of its jelly like effect it makes everything move along much easier. Some people put in on the cereal in the morning, however I dont reccommend this, it needs alot of water to work properly and like most fibre can have the opposite effect if the body is not properly hydrated. So drink lots of water also. Dehydration is a common cause of constipation. Good luck!

laxatives

Make sure you are drinking plenty of liquids. Try cilium husk - it is a powder you can buy at the drug store. It is a bulk fiber that you add to liquid. It helps push things thru. Good Luck!

Prunes, stool softners, drink a large glass of warm water, increase your intake of fiber, fiber supplements like metamucil, laxatives, enemas, suppositories, stay hydrated, exercise, if you have the urge go don't wait.

prunes, corn, veggies, and fruits.....

You need more fiber in your diet.

prune juice

exlax!

laxatives

Just take plenty of water during the day.It works.
or if you want some fast relief medicine try immodium

To add to all the good answers everyone else has said, I suggest castor oil. When I was studying massage therapy we were taught that it helps if you are constipated. It works best if you rub it clockwise in your lower abdominal area. It always works for me better than any laxative.

If all else fails, go eat some KFC fried chicken. That will loosen the bowels quickly.

Raisen bran. It's great.

Eat whole foods.

Bran muffins, fresh (esp raw) veggies and fruit...

Psyllium (whole) husks, with LOTS of water

Prune Juice (in moderation, you don't want cramping)

A nice hot (very warm, 105-115 degrees) ENEMA to get you moving right away is the best for right now, then do all or some of the above. Sometimes you're clogged...and need relief immediately...and go for at least two quarts, or it won't really flush you out well. Do this twice and you will feel SO much better.

One thing my mom uses for her constipation, it cleans her out every time.

Salt Water Cleanse

First thing in the morning on a empty stomach drink:
1 quart of lukewarm (body temperature) Water (the temperature will help you get it down and the body will think of it as a part of itself and work with it)
2 Tablespoons of Sea Salt (not table salt)
Mix and drink as quickly as you can, rest if needed after. Stay close to a restroom for a few hours until movement and or gurgling in the colon stops.

Hope this helps.

More stonefruit, in future, and more high fibre foods.

Eat high fiber cereal > 10g of fiber in the morning. Dried plums are good and drink water.

aloe vera does relieve constipation. It is a very good fiber rich antoxidant. As such it helps in easing constipation. Aloe is good for a number of other ailments as well.Aloe Vera also contains aloin, which in small dosages acts as a natural laxative.

i recommend Arbomin-Plus(Namyang Aloe)!!!
