Is there a natural non-medicated way to prevent or relieve gas other than the ob!

Question: You could keep a food diary and see if you see patterns about what causes gas and what doesn't.
Beano cotains natural digestive enzymes that you can take with the first bite of every meal that you eat for a few days and see if that ends the problem. Yes, it is a medication (over the counter) but a natural product.

Activated Charcoal - you get it from the health food store - it's in capsules. You can take it before you eat or drink something that you know will give you gas, or you can take it when you have gas. I've even taken it before events that I know will make me nervous enough to give me gas!!

Yes, go to the pharmacy and take a look at the gas relief section. I would get something like Alka-seltzer, its just a tablet that dissolves in water and creates a lot of carbonation. This helps neutralize the gas and relieve it too.

Avoid gas-promoting foods. Fight off fiber-induced flatus. Lay off the lactose. See the 3 LINKs below for complete details.

I use Fennel tea taken throughout the day and 30 minutes before any meal will neutralize some of the gas naturally. I also use BEANO capsules which are made from natural herbs.

Been there doing that! LOL Good luck.

Taking 1-2 papaya tablets with every meal prevents gas from occuring. But I've chewed 2-3 tablets when I've gotten gas and it seems to help.
