Call around to the local trade schools in your area to see about classes. You want the most hands-on experience you can get. You may be required to go to a school and become licensed - depends on your state (if in US). If you live in US, you should be qualified for a variety of student loans and grants - Pell Grant, Stafford Loans, to cover your total expenses. Then, you can pay it back after you finish school. If you aren't required to go to school, you might find a mentor to teach you, as this would be cheaper. But being cheaper is not necessarily better for your clients. You do want them to come back to you. You might also want to learn alternative bodywork that does not require a massage school/licensure such as CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Reflexology. Because you are a SAHM, you might be interested in becoming a Doula if you are interested in childbirth. These types of courses are offered in weekend seminars. Working from home with children is difficult. I tried that for about a year, but my kids just were not quiet enough, plus you don't want strangers coming into your home since you have children. You really never know what kind of creep you might bring into your house. I eventually found a person who lets me "rent" a room in the back of his storefront for a percentage of my hourly rate, based only upon if and when I have clientele. I also am beginning to do mobile massage.

I live in the U.K and am training to become a massage therapist. My Diploma course runs over 8 months. I attend university one weekend a month and the rest is directed study at home.
The course was expensive but the school I am training with have allowed me to pay by instalments which has made it manageable.
With young children in the house, I don't know how practical it would be for you to run your business from home though. I have young children, and although they are at school, until I can afford to get premises, I am planning to go mobile.
If your children are very young, you would need someone to watch them while you were treating a client. Your client won't thank you if there are children knocking on the door asking for juice/a biscuit/the loo or whatever.
If you can work it out though, I would really recommend you to go for it, it's a wonderful thing to learn. Good luck!

check with the local area schools and see what you may have to do maybe even check on-line schools
