Is it okay to take in calcium supplements even without the doctor's prescrip!

Question: Ofcourse it is okay to take calcium supplements even
without the doctor's prescription but why go for supplement
and enrich the drug companies. Go natural. Consuming
daily one glass of fresh orange juice would give you
natural calcium. Alternatively you could also consume
seasame/gingelly seeds. The dose is soak one teaspoonful
of seeds in water the previous day and consume next day
in the morning after throwing away the water. It is the most
natural source of calcium besides it also contains saponin
which piggybacks on cancerous cells and helps to get rid
of the same. It has natural fibre so it also acts as a natural
laxative. Besides it has sufficient calcium to regularise
your PMS problem accompanied with YOGIC MUDRA by
the name of ASHWINI MUDRA. Both these will go long way
in getting rid of your PMS PROBLEM. Hope you will heed
what has been said here and will avoid artificial supplements
and go for natural. Good luck and God bless. Cheers! :o)

Yes. That is why it is available in stores. Just don't exceed the RDA listed on the supplement

Absolutely. Calcium supplements are widely available over the counter. In fact it is recommended for women to take a daily calcium supplement to help prevent osteoporosis.

yes, but be careful to take calcium citrate. other supplements like calcium gluconate or calcium carbonate can contribute to the formation of kidney stones.

Hi,
Pl. take advice of doctor before starting to take in calcium supplements . The excess of calcium may be harmful.

Enjoy Life

I did years ago and nothing went wrong...So I guess you should be just fine girl.

It sure is okay to take calcium supplements if you feel you need it, as long as you are taking a reasonable amount. Stick as close to the recommended daily allowance as possible, and as with every vitamin and mineral supplement, never megadose.

you don't need to get a prescription for any supplement unless it's restricted in your country
when it comes to calcium. typical formula's aren't in the right proportion
it needs to be 1 part magnesium per 2 parts calcium with a mix of vitamin D
and the 100% RDA is the minimum of what you generally need per day
My supplement has 1200mg calcium - 120% rda, 600 mg magnesium- 150% rda, and 800 IU Vit D- 200 % rda

and calcium itself is best in the form of Calcium citrate or coral calcium
go to a health food store and they should be able to help you out and find the best one

You can take it but ask the doctor if it would interfere with any medicines you take.
Take calcium citrate and take magnesium and vitamin D3 so you don't end up with spurs or stones.
For magnesium you take half the amount of the calcium
so if you are taking 500 to 600 mg of calcium take 250 to 300 mg magnesium. D3 is better than D.

do u need a prescription for a bottle of milk?
