Answers: i keep getting them and i can never stop!

ok i've had this prob too along time ago and my cure ALWAYS works. exhale so there is like no air in your lungs- then hold yur breath for ten to fifteen seconds, then drink a cup of warm water and DONT exhale until the water touches your lips. then wen ur done with the water you can breathe again. trust me wenever i get the hiccups i just do this and they go away every time. ps- the water can be warm or cool just remember that warm water works best.

they say to hold your breath for a minute (or less), i've tried it & it worked.

take ten drinks of water in a row without stopping! it always works for me...or else try having somebody scare you...a spoonful of sugar!

I don't know of a way to keep you from getting them, but when you get them, put a little yellow mustard on your tongue and see if they don't go away.

Garenteed method - 2 ways

1) If you are on your own, hold your breath (and pinch your nose as air involuntary exhales) and drink as much liquid (not fizzy) as you can before, then breath out.

or even better...
2) If someone is with you get them to put their fingers in your ears while you hold your nose and drink, this makes you airtight and removed the trapped pocket of air. It may sound silly but when you try it and it works you'll be amazed, all my friends are whenever i tell them to do it.

Try this............
Close your eyes.......stay still and don't talk for about 2 to 3 minutes.
While doing that, picture a bunny rabbit hopping-hopping-hopping in a forest.
While your watching the rabbit hop over and over........in your head say hopping.....hopping......hopping........... time the rabbit hops so you don't lose focus.
Soon your hiccups will no longer be there.

Seriously........it works.

dont try to cure them it is just like burping except a lot softer and frequently

Cover your mouth with a brown paper bag, breath in and out deep through your mouth for a minute.

try to get your index fingers as close together as you can without touching them, it always works for me. Takes your mind off trying to stop them.

OK two methods that ALWAYS work for me and anyone else I;ve seen are..
1. Eat a tablespoonful of peanut butter! tasty yet effective!
2. Drink up side down. To simulate this, take a gulp of water, hold it in your mouth then bend all the way down forward and swallow. Repeat about 5 times

Rub your earlobe....or better yet have someone else rub it for you.
