A deficiency in vitamin B12 will produce symptoms such as fatigue an exhaustion, headaches and migraines, numbness and tingling and prickling sensations in the outer extremities, dizzy spells, fainting and loss of balance, heart palpitations and chest pains, excessive sweating, excessive urination and dry mouth, nausea and vomiting, depression, insomnia and constipation, irritability and moodiness and an inability to think clearly ....Quite scary actually if you don't realise the vitamin factor.

Eat more foods rich in this vitamin ie: organ meats such as lambs fry and kidneys, skimmed milks and cheeses, fish and eggs.

If you are lactose intolerant or vegetarian then it is really important that you supplement your diet with a multi B complex tablet on a daily basis.

Things that could be robbing you of your precious B complex of vitamins are :- eating too much protein, alcohol, eating too much tinned food, antiobiotics, antidepressants, penicillin, prednisone and aspirin.

Also, try to cut back on drinks such as caffeine, tea, sodas and soft drinks as they are all B complex thieves........ as well as being great at dehydrating you.

Take a multi B complex tablet including all the B's ie: B1, B2 B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best synergistically (together).

The B complex of vitamins is essential for healthy neural, digestive and immune system functioning.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences as you unfortunately are......... a good point to make here is that if you are deficient in vitamin B12 you would therefore also be deficient in iron as iron also needs vitamin B12 to be properly assimilated by the body and hence you would be displaying iron deficiency anemia symptoms ie; fatigue and exhaustion, dizzy spells and fainting........... iron assimilates more effectively when consumed with foods rich in vitamin C ie; citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges, tomatoes and potatoes, leafy green vegies and red and green peppers.

When you take your daily supplement ensure that you take it with some type of calcium rich food ie: low fat cheese or milk or a calcium supplement as B12 needs calcium to be properly assimilated by the body........... ensure you also get enough sunshine (vitamin D) or eat cold water fishes such as tuna, salmon, sardines and whiting as calcium needs enough vitamin D to be effectively absorbed!! These cold water fishes are also a rich source of magnesium (known as the antistress mineral) which is probably another thing you need to focus on as well ~ your stress levels. Quite a handfull of information here ........ sorry it's a bit long winded but you need to know all this.

When our bodies are placed under added stress such as sickness, relationship dramas, new job, school studies or just daily life really, the B complex of vitamins are usually the first group to get used up and we therefore need to adjust our intake accordingly.

When you are getting any stress related symptoms or any of the above mentioned symptoms simply take another B tablet. As they are water soluble our bodies will simply excrete any excess in our urine.

Drink loads of fresh filtered water too as the happiest and healthiest body will always be the most hydrated one.

I sincerely wish you the best of health & vitality buddy?

CHEERS
?

you could try ginseng as a supplement..I'd see a herbalist first..they tend to know homeopathy and other therapies as well

It's not therapy u need its a holiday .3or 4 days at a health spa if u cn afford it.if u cant ,just go anyway.Believe me it does10 times more good than anything else.

I know that you don't want to see your GP but I think that maybe you should go and get your blood tested and a proper diagnosis before you seek out alternate therapies. Sounds to me like you could be anaemic.

children do tire you out both emotionally and physically but time to take stock by improving your diet and taking up more exercise. Eating less at night also works for me as I wake up more alert and hungry---- just keep your meals small as a large meal will make you feel lethargic also becoming more involved in a hobby is a great motivator. I took up golf as my husband was a fanatic. Enjoyed the game and the company of other players.---- played weekend matches played twi-light matches and even won a few trophies. But the Best therapy to help my energy levels was to employ home help while I was working once a week the house was cleaned and it was just wonderful to come home to a cleaned house---cleaned by someone else !

Have a look below Good Luck.

I would first make sure all blood tests return normal. If so, the best two alternative therapies I have experienced is homeopathy and Bowen's Technique. I used to work for a GP and Homeopathic Practitioner and saw the results of numerous illnesses and symptoms which were treated by homeopathy. If you chose a good practitioner he can help treat you constitutionally, ie. you as a person, by taking all your details and symptoms. I suffered with lack of energy and tiredness for over 12 months and I started with homeopathy, vitamin B12 drops under the tongue and also Bowen's Technique. Bowen's technique is such a relaxing method which just involves a slight rolling of the skin over the muscle which tells the brain to heal itself. Worked wonders for me, making me want to do more things, feeling brighter and more energised. I highly recommend it.

Rhodiola Rosea (Siberian Golden Root) has helped get rid of my chronic exhaustion and tiredness. I started taking it about 7 months ago and haven't looked back. It's very effective and even my husband is taking it now. You can find it at health food stores or over the 'net.

Take one capsule when you get up and another after lunch if you need to.

My GP wasn't able to help either and did blood tests and stuff, but I feel fine now. I also have two kids and am busy and stressed sometimes.

Hope you feel better soon!

I feel for you, as I have been in the same boat. I can also relate to how you feel about going to see your GP. But it is important to rule out a physical cause for the way you are feeling. Once you have done that, you can then start to look at what you can do to make yourself feel better.
The first thing to do is look at how much water you drink. Not tea, coffee, flavoured water or juices, just plain water. As soon as you add a flavouring to it, the water triggers off the digestive process and is not properly absorbed. Plain water is much better for you. Look to be drinking 2-3 litres a day. It will help to flush out all the toxins from your body, improve your skin and boost your energy levels.
Look at your diet. Plenty of fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and other vitamin and mineral rich foods are needed.
Booking a Swedish body massage will help to invigorate you and make you feel much better.
Get outside into the fresh air, even if only for five minutes a day. Fresh air helps me blow away the mental cobwebs and feel much more alert.
Get an essential oil burner and burn citrus based oils like lemon or grapefruit, as the zingy fresh smells really do perk you up.
Hope this helps.

Homeopathy doesn't work, so don't waste your time or cash on that mumbo jumbo.

I used to feel that way & I read about this from a very well known & respected author/doctor, she mentioned that ME or fatigue syndrome is metaphysically a sign that someone or sth is draining your energy, & is putting unbearable amount of responsiblity on you which doesn't belong to you...
If you can detect who or what situation is causing this & eliminiate or deal with it (eg someone's at work could be given inappropriate amount of tasks/resposiblities & thus leaving the job or allocating work to the right persons could solve this)..
for me it was someone around me who was dumping all her problems for me to solve & I had no energy left for myself, I thus distanced myself from that person & walked away, & I prayed for God to help her...& I soon recovered my energy
I felt that yours could be a silimiar problem, but if I am wrong, I apologise for the irrelvant advice & please ignore it..
PS> it could be looking after children has tired you & you need a break & help with this.

Adding a good Vit B complex is usually a good place to start if that isn't what you are already taking. A multivitamin really doesn't cover it.

To consider: Check the symptom matrix and see if you match the adrenal function symptoms. You don't have to match all, but 5 or 6 is usually a good indicator. If so, then a good adrenal cortex (order from http:www.iherb.com - not affiliated, just good product, good pric) will help you amazingly. http://www.drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.as...

A naturopath is a good alternative to GP. Our naturopath is actually a primary care physician and can order all blood tests. A good naturopath will check all symptoms and treat you, not the symptoms, so that you can heal and get back to normal.

Wow you should just like I did, about 3 months ago I started taking a natural product that was developed by Dr. Robert Keller. The product is MaxGXL it helps you cells to produce more glutathione, this is the master anti-oxidant for your cells.
This improves your health, gives you more energy, good mental alertness. I have 2 children 17 year olds (twins) I seem to have no time they are very active and I seem to run all day to sports, school, etc. If this helped me I know it will help you. I will give you the website to look at please watch the videos, read the articles. You can order on-line, ask questions or request more imformation.

Best of Luck

try a naturopath. we use homeopaths but probably would do naturopath first for what you are experiencing. if he can't help he will refer to who can.

cut out sugar and caffeine too. they sap energy long term.

A live organic whole food supplement will work 100 times better then any vitamin, your lucky if It breaks down let alone assimilates it the body. How many times do you have a bowel movement, if your not having 2 to 3 movements a day then that will give you low energy.

Here are a few links to products that will work.
