Why not try yogic remedy. Do ASHWINI MUDRA which is
simply done by contracting your anal hole as high as you
can and then slowly release it. This amounts to one count.
Do ten counts in the morning and ten counts in the evening.
Next day increase by another ten and in this way reach a
safe target of 60 counts in the morning and 60 counts in the
evening. This should set right your periods cycle. To boost it
further intake of natural calcium would go a long way. All
you have to do is take one teaspoonful of preferably black
sesame/gingelly seeds and soak them in a glass of water.
Next day morning throw the water away and consume the
swollen sesame/gingelly seeds half an hour before
breakfast. You should see the result hopefully in 90 days
time. Good luck and God bless. Cheers! :o)
Ashwini mudra can be done standing or sitting.

I think birth control is the only option.

For prescription medications? Only birth control pills available. There are two alternatives that also helps women to have regular cycles, either acupuncture or chiropractic. Both are very safe.

Birth control is your pharmaceutical option - which is not Alternative Medicine.

Your alternative medicine options are to see an alternative practitioner and have them diagnose the underlying cause, then give you a course of repair. That is more important at this point, since just masking the symptom of irregular menses will let the underlying problem grow and manifest in other symptoms for which you will need more drugs.

My suggestion:
1st stop - chiropractor. If he can't help, ask for a recommendation for a naturopathic doctor. He will know who to refer you to if he can't help. But, I would suspect the chiro can help, and if not the naturopath will. Neither will be nearly as expensive as allopathic care either.
