Are there any herbal remedies for tourette's syndrome?!

Question: No, however, stress can increase tics, so a stress free (as much as possible) environment is best.

Tourettes is Neurological, or to be more specific, Neurobiological. Think of it this way: A person with TS 's software is fine (aptitude for learning, ability to function), but their hardware is wired incorrectly and this causes tics.

Tourettes is lifelong and there is not a cure. However, I do not believe it is a mental illness as stated by your other answerer.

It is a spectrum disorder and severe cases can be treated with DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) similar to Parkinsons. You can't do that with a mental illness!

My son has this disorder. He plays chess, scores high on IQ tests, is sweet, smart and funny. He has friends, chores and homework just like everybody else. I would not trade him for the world.

My fiance has Tourette's. That's so funny that your son plays chess because my fiance does too! Well, it sounds like your son is young. My fiance is in college with a 4.0 GPA. He is an honors student. You have lots to look forward to. Report It

  • There are no known or functioning herbal remedies for any mental disorder, none with enough scientific backing to be recognized by any scientific community. Here's this, if you really believe it will work (for yourself, just saying) then it just might, w00t to the placebo effect.

Yes, but it would require some research, dementias i believe are usually cuased by a weaking nerve or "misguided" as i like to call it nerves that have a protein difficisioncy, so all you would have to do is figure out what that protein is.
