Can Green Tea and Probiotics help with stomach viruses?!

Question: We rely on billions of probiotics to digest and break down foods.

They cover themselves along the walls of the gut and keep viruses from parking and taking up residence.

They are very, very important... Google.com Probiotics and it will open up a whole new world to you.

As an aside, for those who don't know... Why do you think the Yoplait company is selling a product called "Activity" and why do you think they are now adding probiotics in baby formula's "Good Start?"

I've known this stuff long before it became main stream and our family has not had the stomach flu for over ten years.

The nay sayers only listen when its commercial in our pop culture, because it can't be true unless their authority God head figure says its true, like a man in a white coat and stethicscope.

Oh well... What probiotics do...

They break down specific carbohydrates

They help regulate cholesterol

They manufacture needed digestive enzymes

That's just to name a few.

I think so

i dont know about probiotics but green tea yeah...might even help u loose weight

Yes , absolutely . It worked for me

Oatmeal and chamomile tea.

Yes, indirectly though. They will strengthen your immune system, so it can fight of the virus. However, they won't directly attack the viruses themselves.

no, probiotics are for bacteria and will do nothing for viruses.

NO RESEARCH ON PROBIOTICS HAS SHOWN ANY DIFFERENCE!!! darn media, they make us think probiotics are little heroes in our yogurt but there is no evidence they even work. But Green Tea does work, it will keep you hydrated and calm the symptoms of the stomach virus. Feel better soon xx

I don't see how either of these could help.

Yes.

Probiotics are 'friendly' bacteria that will help eat bad things in your stomach. Taking probiotics has cleared me of athletes foot multiple times.

I like green tea for all the health benefits, but each body is different, so it depends on how your body takes the tea. If you have a hard time with it, well, don't take it!

Don't know about green tea but a probiotic won't do anything to a virus

Green T is a dieuretic trust me, it does not hydrate the system but encourages the liver 2 detox primarilary as a diuretic (increases urine production) but also help 2 emulsify fats and assists in their removal-

Probiotics assits in promoting good bacteria which ultimately have no effect on viruses- the stomach is also where ideas r digested if u av a digestive problem chances r there are thoughts/emotions tnat u r having a hard time processing- Try massaging ur palms u'l hit on ur solar plexues & improve the problem heart, body & soul
Good Luck - God Bless

Probiotics should give your immune system a boost. Because the good bacteria give your body a rest from fighting the bad bacteria in your intestines.

To the person who said that probiotics are not for real, almost every traditional (read old fashioned times) had some form of lacto fermented foods that they regularly ate, and they had no diabetes, no heart attacks, and some of them had tremendous longevity, if they didn't succomb to and accident or an infection, that is.
