Who has been to a homoeopath?!

Question: I am going to day and I am eager to see what he has to say. Please tell me any nice/bad experiances. What can I expect?

We use a homeopath, but have never been to her office since she is several states away. We have talked on the phone and via e-mail. She has a full case study for you to fill out and then works from there. We've used for specific problems that weren't easily dealt with by other natural practitioners, and have been very happy with her service. If we were in the same state, I would visit the office to see her and bring her flowers as a thank you.

Expect for the homeopath to want a lot of background. They deal in whole person healing, not symptom healing. Many times seemingly unrelated symptoms are actually related when recommending homeopathic remedy. It is a very precise art, and the more open and honest and thoughtful you are about the situation, the more likely you are to get the right remedy for you. It can be hit and miss if the communication lines aren't fully open. If you don't see improvement the first time around, don't give up. Unlike Mds who throw drugs at symptoms, homeopath's remedies are very reliant on the whole person and it may take longer to find just the right combo. We've had homeopathic remedy work almost immediately, and we've had it work only after a full course (complete bottle of remedy) was finished.

Ask your practitioner questions, and don't be afraid to call back later if you have more questions.

Don't expect to be conned. Expect to be healed. Homeopathy is #3 on our illness defense list.

#2 - chiropractor

You can expect to be conned.

Homoeopathy has no validation whatsoever, no basis in reality. Every properly conducted double-blind test - and there have been many over the years - has shown it to be completely ineffective.

I have, to try and get rid of some acne I had a few years ago. They did some kind of food allergy test on my skin with a device that looked like that detector from Ghostbusters. Then they told me I was allergic to loads of my favourite foods (Don't know if this was true or not) and put me on an Atkins-style diet plan.

I lost about a stone and got rid of the spots. But this may have something to do with the fact that I had cut out sugar and taken more exercise.

I've kept an open mind. It's certainly worth going at least once to see if they can offer anything useful.

All you nay-sayers...I have raised 3 of the healthiest most beautiful children naturally through great nutrition as well as homeopathic medicine. I have chosen not to immunize due to health risks(don't worry I have researched well) they are RARELY ill, maybe a sniffle here and there, but not one of them has ever been hospitalized or even has to see an M.D. for anything outside of Yearly Sports Physicals.Of the 3, 1 of them has never even been on an antibiotic, ever(she's 12 yrs. old)...the other 2 have been on a low-grade basic antibiotic, one had a tooth infection(he's 14) and the other had stepped on a nail (she's 17)and was given an anti-biotic...other than that they have never even had the need of one. Why? Due the fact that I keep them HEALTHY by way of nutrition and the use of Homeopathy...

Hmmmm,Alternative medicine is great.Usually a referred practitioner is best because there are flakes out there.I have tried all types of TX.and have had excellent results.Just take your brain and research any info he/she gives you.AND don't buy everything at once.Be open to info ,but don't let your wallet empty out.good lock

Homeopathy is a scam.
Don't waste your time or money on this deluded nonsense.

I'm open-minded about homeopaths, but I must say the twice I've been the treatment hasn't worked for me. Perhaps I was unlucky in my choice of professional or perhaps it doesn't work for everything. I think plenty of fresh air and nutrition play a big roll in keeping healthy. I was an adult before taking antibiotics, had always been treated by our good old family doctor before.
