Dandelion Root Tea?!

Question: I read that drinking this tea in conjunction with 1tsp. cranberry juice, 1tsp. lemon juice helps to get rid of any retained water in the body. Is this true? Also, I read that dandelion root is the only diuretic that won't reduce the level of potassium in the body.

How many times a day or a week is it recommended to drink?
Is it safe?

Dandelion Root Tea is a natural diuretic, but do not confuse it with Dandelion Leaf Tea. The Leaf of the plant is best for relieving water retention whilst sparing body potassium levels. Yes, diuretics do rid your body of potassium as a natural part of how they work on your body.
Lemon Juice is also wonderful for balancing fluid levels in your body.
Just remember that if you have fluid retention, you are more likely to be dehydrated so keep you water intake up. The reason for this is because fluid retention is extracellular fluid, when you need to be striving for intracellular fluid for healthy cellular function.
Dandelion Root Tea and Dandelion Leaf Tea are perfectly safe to consume, you should strive for 1-3 cups of dandelion leaf tea per day, as with lemon juice (diluted in water).
So Have your Dandelion Leaf Tea, and lemon juice, but KEEP DRINKING WATER!
Hope that helps.

Believe it or not, that invasive yard weed is more nutritious than any lettuce & many other greens we ingest, it has a zesty flavor, and is just all around good for you food...all parts included. The tea you mentioned sounds refreshing, I'll have to try it.

By the way, no natural diuretic that I know of saps your bod of anything...they are for feeding, relieving, & energizing the whole system...just do your homework on the varieties available so what you choose matches your intentions...I highly suggest checking out www.herbalhealer.com for some good info on the subject.

Good Journey!!!
