Calms Forte by Hyland is a homeopathic remedy that I use the most.
Sleepy Time Tea works, too.

Valarian root tea... use two bags. steep 10 minutes.

Sleepy TIme tea is valarian root.

keep mind free

eliminate the cause of sleepiness first

Chamomile tea works for me most every time. Other things to try: melatonin and/ or valerian root, but the chamomile works really well. It's also really an excellent relaxant if you are stressed out.

Sleeplessness can be caused by many factors, like anxiety, body ache, uncomfortable bed, or chronic diseases like hypertension etc. It can lead to many psychological and physiological disorders. Milk and honey are very beneficial in the treatment for it. Milk contains traces of natural tranquilizers and honey contains the most easily assimilate form of sugar .Regular use of milk and honey helps to regularize the sleep pattern, thus helping to resolve sleeplessness.

See insomnia treatments, in section 3, at *ezy-build, below. Use one of the relaxation methods, in bed, after lights out, on pages 2, 11, 2.c, or 2.i, but they can take some time to learn, (progressive muscular relaxation excepted) so learn and become proficient in their use during the day; an alternative is to use the EFT, in section 53, and pages 2.q, and 2.o, saying to yourself: "Even though I currently have a sleep disorder, I deeply and completely accept myself." (or choose your own wording) while you use the acupressure tapping. Find out which works best for you, in the daylight hours, so you will be prepared, come bedtime. For many people, a good idea is to develop a set "wind down" routine for the last hour before bedtime, so your unconscious mind learns that it is time to put thinking aside, and prepare for mindfulness, (awareness, without cogitation/purposeful thought) or the EFT, in preparation for sleep, but the idea with mindfulness is to not even think about sleeping: just drift off, naturally, during exercising those techniques. * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris

Being a doctor (Homoeopathic), I would suggest you to simply have some coffee 5-6 hours before sleep. You won't feel even 1% sleepy for 5-6 hours due to effect of caffein in the coffee. But after 5-6 hours you will fell like 1000% sleepy.
