A mudra is like an asana (or position) for the hands. As there is a point for all the organs in the body in the hands, feet and ears, does it not make sense that changing or altering the positions of the hands and fingers would also change the health or state of the body? As everything is connected, does it also not make sense that changing or altering the health of the body would also affect both the mind and spirit, too? A mudra is a sacred, healing, holy gesture or way of holding the hands.
