How should I deal with anal fissures?!

Question: High fiber diet, heavy on the fruits and veggies, light on the red meat. You can also up the fiber intake with a daily glass of one of the drinkable fiber mixes. For on the spot comfort, use baby wipes for personal cleaning instead of dry paper- easier on the personality. You can also use witch hazel on a cotton pad, placed right on the spots that need it, or you can use Tucks hemorrhoidal pads. If you keep the witch hazel or the Tucks in the fridge so they are cold, they feel even better. You can also soak your tush in warm water with witch hazel added in, if you like. You need to keep the stool soft at all costs, but you don't want diarrhea or constipation- neither will be comfy. If you really need some help, a stool softener would help some as well- at least until the dietary changes have had time to kick in. They will heal in time if you can make the changes, and stick to them.

I agree completely with 'the mom'. You need plenty of water intake, and foods which help to soften your stools, such as baked beans, prunes, dates, fruits, vegetables, psyllium husks etc... If you keep your stools soft and regular then the fissures with heal themselves.

Add stone fruits, in particular, to the above answers. Google this: then select alternative remedies: there are several.
