it is an anti-fungal med. it depends what you need it for. if your condition is systemic, than no. but, if you need it in a cream form, like for a rash or bump, then you could get a cream for athlete's foot, or something that says "anti-fungal", use as directed. But, metrodizanole is prescription, i believe.
