Magnet Therapy..?!
Question: Does anyone if it is safe to use magnetic therapy for babies? I have a 7 month old, that I have been using magnet therapy on. He has acid reflux and it seems to have completely taken it away, simply by placing this magnet on his tummy. But I am wondering about side effects or whether it is safe.. Only serious answers please!

as far as i am aware there is no proof that it works on anyone, as for side effects, people get put into Magnetic resonance imaging (mri) all the time and they have HUGE and very very powerful magnets with absolutely no side effects on the person being scanned , so i dont think a small fridge magnet on your baby's tummy will do anything bad.
It will have no effect whatsoever. NONE.
Whether magnet therapy really has any positive effect or not, is open to discussion. But I have never heard of any negative side effects, so you aren't hurting anything by trying.
BTW, I'm not questioning magnet therapy out of ignorance. I have had a lot of personal and family experience in trying it. The effects, if any, were minimal.
