As part of my prep for surgery,I am supposed to take an enema,is there any alter!

Question: If there is any alternatives I would prefer not to have an enema.

Answers: If there is any alternatives I would prefer not to have an enema.

If you're having surgery on your digestive tract and an enema is prescribed, you need to take it, otherwise they will not be able to operate.

Your intestines need to be completely clear, and fasting or phoso-soda won't flush your system as thoroughly as an enema.

For some, drinking warm salt water flushes everything out. Good luck with your surgery.

Look at the directions on a box of Epson salt there's a laxative directions on it

Not really, you need to do it.

It is not that bad. It will clean the bowel out so you will not have a poo while you get surgery.

Fleet phoso-soda. You drink it with lots of water. You can buy it at any drug store or WalMart. It is a few dollars a bottle. Call your doctor and ask if this is an acceptable alternative.

Although enemas are not pleasant they are necessary for some procedures. I have seen procedures cancelled at the last minute because the patient was not "cleaned out". So please take the enema and get on with it.

You can buy a bottle of liquid to drink at Walgreens that will clean you out! Talk to the pharmacy dept., they will direct you to it! Hope everything turns out alright for you!

i would think you should ask the person, doctor, who told you to take the enema in the first place

Bend over and take it like a man! Or, get a hot nurse to give you the enema. Kinkyville!!!!!!!!

well there is one and its like a nasal spray but its for your well you know ehm butt. Some pharmacies have flavored powder that you can add to your medicines to make it taste better check it out to see if this is compatable for your enema. Also try if its ok with the doctor or pharmacy using ginger ale with the enema drink stuff.
