What are some at home methods of treating a uti?!

Question: I don't ever take medication for sicknesses, on occasion I'll take an advil. What can i do at home to treat a uti besides drinking cranberry juice and lots of water? Also, by drinking cranberry juice, how many days should it take to go away?

Actually it's believed that cranberry juice canNot cure a bladder infection and may only be beneficial if drinking in large quantities which can be dangerous in and of itself. A urinary tract infection is bacterial which needs to be rid of through an antibiotic (usually taken after food). Please do not self treat and talk with your doctor about it. Bladder infections can get worse if left untreated and even cause systemic infection (blood poisoning/sepsis). What might help the pain (Not the bacteria itself) of the uti is over the counter AZO which can act as a neutralizer.

Just fyi, please don't overdose on water or such as 'water intoxication' can occur which is the swelling of body tissues including the brain from depletion of sodium/salt: http://waterintoxication.org

Eat lots of asparagus, also try drinking 2 T. apple cider vinegar with 1t natural sea salt in a glass of water several times a day. You can add a T. of honey to make it go down better, as the salt is a little nauseating. Just sip it slowly. Keep up the cranberry juice and in a few days you should be as good as new. I hope this helps:)

About 3 days. Also, I like dried cranberries.
There aren't any reputable studies on the effect of asparagus, but that just means the biomedical community hasn't addressed it yet (searched Google Scholar). As far as drinking sea salt, that sounds like a bad idea. Sodium (which is in sea salt) makes you retain water, which makes it difficult to achieve the goal of urinating as much as possible to flush out the bacteria.

OK this worked really well for me. Steep one tablespoon of dried parsley flakes for fifteen minutes in boiling water make it into a tea and strain it) drink it and you will notice a difference in about a day.

see a doc alkalanise the urine by drinking water wth a little sodabicarb

Cranberries are the preferred natural solution. You can buy the juice or take products that are concentrated cranberry. Vitabase has a product like that.
