Here's in my opinion the best way to get over a cold. You're doing okay so far but here's what I would do.
Drink hot tea every couple hours to soothe your throat and make the cough die down, also instead of just halls take a cough pill. You could take cough syrup, but eww!
Drink a lot of orange juice, because the vitamin C gives you strength and energy. Also drink a lot of water to flush out your body. You always get better with fluids.
It's good to get good sleep every night but you should also take a nap in the day time too. Maybe a two to three hour nap. Blow your nose several times during the day to help clear out all the congestion.
Take hot showers, but use an invigorating wash, like mint or lavender. It will rejuvenate your body and help you feel relaxed. Hope I helped!!!!
P.S. WATCH MOVIES AND SNUGGLE UNDER WARM BLANKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drink loads of hot fluids and eat foods rich in vitamin C. Stay in bed for most of the time and avoid going to work etc.
You should consider visiting your doctor if this is serious as colds don't usually persist that long...

Gargle saline solution and try a neti pot for your nose. Sudafed works good for congestion, the original kind with suphedrine is the best. Suck on hard candies, make hot tea with honey, and use a tsp of honey for throat.

Have you had fevers or any additional symptoms? Maybe you should go to the doctor, it might be a sinus infection or something else. 3 weeks is a long time, sounds almost more like a flu or bronchitis.

There is one going around this winter that seems to last forever. The only remedy seems to be to hibernate until spring.

i would go to the doctor, you might have a sinus infection.

For the cough, gargle warm salt water. For your nose, take sutafed and then affrin. Halls don't work, I've used them.

The first thing most people think of for colds is vitamin C, but there are far better options out there. The best (albeit a little expensive) is ProBoost. This is an immune stimulant that is really amazing. If you take 3 packets a day for 3 days or so, it may help knock out your cold. Also, most Americans are deficient in vitamin D (due to little sun exposure and limited ingestion) and supplementation can help immune function. 5,000 IU a day can have a significant effect on combating a cold. You can read more about Proboost on the website below.

Good luck!
